Raiders’ Fargas Appears In Marijuana “Smoke-A-Thon” Video

Oakland Raiders RB Justin FargasRaiders' RB Justin Fargas reportedly has a cameo in an online video where the focus is a Marijuana "Smoke-A-Thon". The video shows Bay Area rapper Yukmouth stopping by Fargas' home with a sack of weed and a huge joint. Fargas and Yukmouth chat for a few moments and then the shoot moves to a new location.

Justin Fargas aka Young HuggJustin Fargas, who also happens to be the son of former actor Antonio Fargas, moonlights as a rapper going by the name of "Young Hugg". Fargas' dad was most well known for his role as "Huggy Bear" on the popular 70s television series "Starsky and Hutch", hence the name "Young Hugg".

Fargas wasn't seen partaking of the monster joint, but it may rile up some league officials due to his involvement in the pro-marijuana video clip. The video, which promotes a pot-smoking contest, does not list Fargas as a contestant.

Fargas has emerged as a solid back in the NFL, rushing for over 1,000 yards in 2007, and 853 yards last year. He was also a co-winner of the Raiders' Commitment to Excellence award, which recognizes the player that "best exemplifies the pride, poise and spirit of the Oakland Raiders".

Fargas is currently the featured back in a crowded Oakland Raiders backfield, where he shares duties with Michael Bush and Darren McFadden. Bush didn't see any substantial playing time until his banner performance in the final game of the season in which he was named a starter due to Fargas and McFadden both sidelined due to injuries. Bush rushed for a team best 177 yards and 6.6 YPC in the week 17 match vs Tampa Bay.

Despite trade rumors and the fact that McFadden is viewed as being the eventual starter, Fargas is expected to remain with Oakland next season. McFadden's rookie season was hampered by injuries and Al Davis still needs some convincing on his quality as a starting back in the NFL. Fargas is a great presence in the locker room and and a true competitor. His work ethic and loyalty to the team would make it a difficult choice for Davis to release him.
